The Toyota South African Sports Association for the Physically Disabled (SASAPD) Championships, held over the weekend in Bloemfontein, witnessed an extraordinary showcase of talent, determination, and sportsmanship. Hosted by the University of Free State, the championships brought together top-performing schools and athletes from across the nation.

Among the highlights of the event was the remarkable achievements of Global Team Toyota Athlete (GTTA), Puseletso Mabote who set another African record in the men's long jump T63 with a leap of 5.93 m. The 19-year-old also ran a new world record of 25.12 surpassing his previous personal best of 25.81 by over half a second. Mabote's exceptional performance not only signifies personal excellence but also demonstrates the spirit of perseverance and dedication that defines these championships.

The event was meticulously organised, providing athletes with an optimal platform to showcase their abilities. Bloemfontein and the University of Free State's collaborative efforts ensured a seamless and successful championship experience for all participants.
